Upcoming Steam ARPG Daimon Blades Offers a First-Person Diablo 4 Experience

Daimon Blades, an action RPG set to enter Early Access, resembles Diablo 4 in a first-person format, combining dungeon crawling and roguelike elements.

Upcoming Steam action RPG Daimon Blades is scheduled to launch into Early Access on September 3, capturing a strong “Diablo 4 in first-person” vibe.

This exciting Steam title aims to fuse the demon-slaying and dungeon-crawling thrills typical of the Diablo series with roguelike replayability, all from a fresh first-person perspective.

The best Steam hidden gems routinely marry various popular genres to create unique experiences. Smaller developers often take creative risks that can lead to standout titles. It’s hoped that Daimon Blades can join this ranks.

Daimon Blades: An Action RPG with a First-Person Twist

Streum On Studio’s first-person hack-and-slash ARPG just made waves with its announcement and is slated for Early Access on Steam this September.

Daimon Blades is described as a “brutal first-person slasher that harmonizes the depth of action RPGs with roguelike replayability,” where players must battle emerging daimonic threats while venturing deeper into their realm. It promises a variety of gameplay features including:

  • 20 diverse enemy families
  • 4 challenging boss encounters
  • RPG elements like crafting and resource management across 9 biomes, ensuring unique levels with each play.

On a superficial level, it shares visual similarities with the Diablo series. Friend groups can partake in chaotic co-op gameplay, but Daimon Blades offers a distinct identity through its first-person perspective, setting itself apart from traditional ARPGs like Diablo and Path of Exile.

Streum On Studio’s last title, Necromunda: Hired Gun, garnered a low score of 58 on OpenCritic in 2021. For Daimon Blades to emerge successfully in the competitive ARPG market, improvements over its predecessor will be crucial, with gamers looking forward to its Early Access debut on September 3.
