Discover New Insights About Cronos: The New Dawn and Its Enigmatic Lore

Bloober Team shares fresh details in a developer diary before the impending release of Cronos: The New Dawn, a time-traveling horror adventure.

Bloober Team has unveiled a new developer diary for Cronos: The New Dawn, providing deeper insights into the game’s plot and sharing exciting, previously unreleased details about its core mysteries. This information arrives just weeks before the game is set to launch.

First announced in October 2024, Cronos: The New Dawn has recently announced a release date of September 5, 2025. The Polish studio has been gradually revealing aspects about the game, ranging from its inspirations to enemy designs, combat, and various gameplay mechanics.

The Cataclysmic Event in Cronos: The New Dawn

In this newly released developer diary, the creators discuss the game’s universe’s pivotal incident known as The Change, a cataclysmic event that occurred in the 1980s. Grzegorz Like likens this event to a “weird disease” affecting the environment and narrative.

Player Choices in Cronos: The New Dawn

Throughout the gameplay, players will assume the role of Travelers—emissaries of a mysterious Collective. Unlike typical narrative arcs, the mission involves extracting the essences of certain characters, which alters the game’s outcome and player experience. Klaudia Sewera emphasizes that these character choices will impact not only gameplay but also how players understand the overarching narrative.

Discover Relationships Beyond Gameplay

Sewera introduces another character, The Warden, an NPC responsible for managing the protagonist’s gear and overseeing mission logistics. Like notes that there will be a diverse cast of interconnected characters, emphasizing Bloober Team’s commitment to storytelling that explores human relationships and their complexities.
