Marvel Rivals Players May Soon Influence Hero Additions Through Voting

The developers of Marvel Rivals plan a voting system for players to choose new heroes they wish to see added in future updates.

Marvel Rivals faces a significant challenge after committing to deliver a new hero every month and a half. Recent updates have kept this promise, with the latest characters being Phoenix and Blade, the latter launching with the upcoming Season 3. The game developers are aware of the extensive roster available from Marvel, yet the initial query remains: which heroes should be prioritized for addition?

Blade has been anticipated since his initial teaser in a map release for Season 1.5, and the team is exploring new methods to gauge player interest. According to game director Guangyun Chen, feedback from players regarding new characters is invaluable, and they plan to implement a voting system that will factor into future planning. “We continuously pay attention to the community and have noticed that players frequently take the initiative to vote on new heroes they would like to see in the future,” he stated.

Player involvement through voting could greatly enhance engagement while allowing developers to assess the feasibility of potential additions. With over 85 years of Marvel characters to draw from, the possibilities are nearly endless, enabling fans to have a hand in shaping the future of Marvel Rivals.
