11 Bit Studios Addresses Allegations on the Use of Generative AI in The Alters

11 Bit Studios has confirmed its limited use of generative AI content in The Alters, addressing concerns raised by players and critics.

In a recent statement, 11 Bit Studios, known for its game The Alters, responded to allegations surrounding the use of generative AI. The studio confirmed that they utilized AI-generated content in a very limited capacity but acknowledged the recent controversies.

Since its launch on June 13, 2025, The Alters has enjoyed critical acclaim, scoring 86 on OpenCritic. However, issues relating to AI content led to a public response from the developers, clarifying their approach and addressing concerns of transparency.
