Phasmophobia Developers Avoid Live-Service Model for Seasonal Events

Developers of Phasmophobia aim to keep player engagement high without entering the live service arena.

In a recent discussion regarding future plans for Phasmophobia, the developers made it clear that they intend to steer clear of a live-service model associated with seasonal events. Tom Dent, the Lead Social and Community Manager, stated, “We don’t want to walk into the live service area… We want to steer clear of that kind of vibe. But also our community is so active, so excited”.

Additionally, Daniel Knight, CEO and Lead Developer of Kinetic Games, communicated that while they plan to keep the community engaged through a limited amount of seasonal events, they will not be entering a continuous live-service structure. They have outlined a roadmap up to the 1.0 milestone and are focused on enhancing the game without losing its integrity.
