A Skyrim Player Discovers the Most Undemanding NPC: Just a Dude Who Sleeps All Day

A player found what might be the most relatable NPC in Skyrim—one who simply sleeps forever.

A Skyrim player has unearthed what many are dubbing the most unexciting and yet relatable NPC in the game—a character known as Snorreid, who sleeps all day, every day.

Located at the East Empire Company Warehouse in Solitude, Snorreid is an unusual figure among Skyrim’s busy inhabitants. This Nord character, who is distinguished by his eternal slumber, can be approached for dialogue but merely mutters, “You’re not supposed to be in here,” without so much as moving from his bedroll.

While most NPCs rise to converse, Snorreid’s dedication to resting presents a unique outlook—he is a champion of doing absolutely nothing, seemingly content with his life choices and perhaps still receiving a paycheck from the East Empire Company.

This character raises questions about potential backstory, as players speculate whether he was ever intended to partake in any quests involving the nearby East Empire Shipping Map. However, he remains distinct in his lethargy, urging fans to consider what it truly means to win at life.
