Miyazaki Reassures Fans: FromSoftware Will Continue to Produce Single-Player Games
Despite a current focus on multiplayer games, FromSoftware's Hidetaka Miyazaki confirms that single-player titles remain part of their future.
FromSoftware currently works on two multiplayer games: Elden Ring Nightreign, which will be available on all major platforms, and The Duskbloods, set for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. Despite these developments, Miyazaki reassures fans of single-player experiences. In a recent interview, he stated:
“I’ve always found the PvPvE structure very interesting. It allows for a broad range of game-design ideas, while also letting us leverage our experience of designing challenging enemy encounters.”
Miyazaki emphasized that this doesn’t mark a total shift away from single-player projects, citing plans for future games like Elden Ring to continue embracing traditional single-player elements. He asserted:
“We still intend to actively develop singleplayer-focused games such as this that embrace our more traditional style.”
Thus, fans can rest easy knowing that FromSoft’s legacy of single-player games remains intact.
