Developer of Mecha Break Reviews Player Feedback for Future Updates

Amazing Seasun evaluates player feedback from Mecha Break's open beta, considering changes to mech accessibility and game mechanics.

Mecha Break concluded its recent open beta on Steam with over 300,000 players participating. Feedback from players was abundant and includes suggestions for changes to enhance gameplay.

Proposed Changes

The Chinese developer Amazing Seasun is considering adjustments to improve Mecha Break, particularly regarding the initial availability of Break Strikers—the game’s mechanical avatars.

The CEO Kris Kwok noted that players have expressed the desire to immediately access all Break Strikers:

“We do know the biggest concern and then we think that the players are right. We are considering that we may [give] access to all Strikers to players.”

Currently, players can unlock additional Strikers by earning soft currency through multiple matches, a process that could take considerable time.

Future Plans

Should Amazing Seasun implement these changes, they confirm that players will still need to unlock future content, whether by playing or purchasing it. The studio anticipates releasing alternate versions of the mechs available in the beta as paid content.

Tournament Insights

Recently, Amazing Seasun held its first tournament in Zhuhai, China, with teams from China, Japan, and North America, disabling the modules in competitive modes to maintain fairness. The developers are contemplating placing restrictions on module usage to enhance competitive balance.

Throughout previous playtests, players have raised questions about these topics, and as beta progress will reset prior to the official launch planned for this spring, the incoming changes could significantly improve player experience.
