Former Battlefield 6 Campaign Director Criticizes EA for Failing to Credit Developers
Marcus Lehto, founder of Ridgeline Games, expresses disappointment over EA's failure to credit developers for their work on Battlefield 6.
In 2021, Marcus Lehto established Ridgeline Games with the aim of creating a narrative campaign for the upcoming Battlefield game, now known as Battlefield 6. However, shortly before its release, the studio was shut down.
Lehto expressed his frustration over the lack of proper credits for his former teammates via a LinkedIn post. He stated, “I’m disappointed to see that many of my former teammates from Ridgeline Games were not properly credited in the recent release of Battlefield 6.”

He noted that despite their hard work over a period of 1 to 2.5 years to establish the game’s foundation, many were placed in the ‘Special Thanks’ section at the end of the credits, with some omitted entirely, including himself.
Lehto had previously conveyed his positive sentiments toward the team involved in the game’s launch, expressing sincere congratulations for their efforts. Nevertheless, the issue of crediting individuals in the gaming industry remains critical, as accurately recognizing contributions is vital for developers’ careers.
