Improving Console Performance for Borderlands 4

Gamers are facing performance challenges with Borderlands 4 on consoles, but there are temporary solutions available.

Console Performance Challenges with Borderlands 4

Players of Borderlands 4 on console are encountering various performance issues. Borderlands 4 has gotten mixed reviews; despite being praised by critics, it has faced significant technical setbacks.

It appears that most technical problems are predominantly with the PC version, which has led to backlash. Randy Pitchford of Gearbox Software even suggested that dissatisfied players seek refunds through Steam.

Solutions for Console Performance Issues

Pitchford recently addressed console performance issues on Twitter, advising gamers to restart the game whenever performance declines, particularly on the PS5 Pro. Users on other consoles have also reported similar challenges, yet restarting the game may help temporarily while waiting for a comprehensive fix from Gearbox.

There are also alternative recommendations for console users: a Reddit user advocates adjusting the control settings to improve gameplay experience. This includes changing sensitivity levels and adjusting cursor speed and deadzone settings.

Additionally, users can switch the session settings to “Local Only,” though this means sacrificing online multiplayer options. By activating the radar, players can enhance their awareness during gameplay instead of relying solely on the compass.

As updates for Borderlands 4 are anticipated, players hope for improvements, including the addition of a mini-map and potential adjustments to the Field of View (FOV).
