This DIY Kit Lets You Create Your Own Rapid-Trigger Hitbox
A new leverless DIY kit is available for arcade enthusiasts, enabling customization with integrated circuit boards under each button for rapid-fire action.
Hall effect technology and similar input methods are increasingly popular in gaming. The Zenaim Arcade Controller Button Module Kit will launch in Japan on September 25, priced at 29,700 yen (approximately $202). This kit includes buttons, a circuit board, and cables to connect everything, enabling customization in fighting stick or arcade controller designs.
Zenaim notes, “While controllers with rapid trigger functionality have existed on the market until now, the only option was to purchase a fully assembled product, and there were no products that met the growing demand for customization.”
- The kit aims to enhance input speed while minimizing erroneous inputs. It allows re-actuation of a button immediately after release, facilitating quicker actions during gameplay.
Specifications Include:
- A stroke amount of 0.75 mm
- Pressing force of 50 g
- Actuation range from 0.1 mm to 0.65 mm

Designed in collaboration with professional gamers from Zeta Division, the kit signifies potential performance benefits for players engaged in competitive gaming.
