Gearbox Entertainment’s CEO Randy Pitchford has told players of Borderlands 4 experiencing dissatisfaction with the game’s PC performance to consider obtaining refunds. He also reiterated advice previously shared by Gearbox regarding the use of DLSS technology in Borderlands 4, a suggestion that has drawn criticism from some fans.
“I’m sorry you don’t like being told to use DLSS, but that is the way.”
“Lo siento, no te gusta que te digan que uses DLSS, pero esa es la manera.”
Pitchford’s candid remarks have sparked controversy, especially after he suggested that true fans would find a way to purchase the game even if it cost $80, though it launched at $70.

He emphasized that players should utilize DLSS, Nvidia’s AI-driven upscaling technology, noting that it significantly enhances performance, particularly with the recent RTX GPU line.
As tension rises over the performance reviews affecting the game’s standings on platforms like Steam, which currently classifies feedback as “Mixed,” it appears that while players have criticized performance issues, many still enjoy the replayability and fun the game offers.
