Bungie is set to revitalize its struggling looter shooter, Destiny 2, with its upcoming expansion, Renegades, launching on December 2. The Star Wars-inspired content brings exciting new features including:
- A Sarlacc pit and AT-ST walkers: Players will encounter these iconic elements reminiscent of the Star Wars universe.
- New Cabal faction: Introducing the Barant Imperium, a group that appears to be hoarding weapons on Mars, dressed similarly to Stormtroopers.
- Gameplay mechanics: Players can choose missions involving bounty hunts, smuggling, and sabotage.
In the latest ViDoc presentation, Bungie displayed several classic Star Wars-inspired visuals and gameplay mechanics, including craftable weapons like the Praxic Blade, which is designed as a lightsaber equivalent in the game. Expect Star Wars-style blasters that use a heat management system instead of traditional reloading.
