Future Skin Concepts for Overwatch 2 Revealed in Latest Survey

A new set of potential hero skins for Overwatch 2 has emerged, showcasing exciting themed concepts from players' surveys.

Overwatch 2 recently released another collection of hero skin concepts via player surveys. Featuring styles from High Fashion Mafia to Holographic Goths, these designs may become exciting additions in the future.

Since December 2023, Overwatch 2 has periodically sent out player surveys featuring hero skin concept art that allows Blizzard to gauge player interest in new cosmetics. These insights not only help the developers understand player preferences but also share potential ideas with the community well ahead of any official releases.

New Skin Concepts from September 2025

Recently, another wave of skin concepts has been documented and shared on Reddit by players, detailing over 40 new designs spread across ten different themes, such as:

  • High Fashion Mafia
  • Retro Cute
  • Monster School
  • Fairytale Warriors
  • Futuristic Hospital
  • Fall Fashion
  • Snow Sports
  • Ghostly Bride
  • Cyber Angels
  • Holographic Goth

Although there’s no certainty these skins will be featured in the game, historically, Overwatch 2 has incorporated survey concepts into actual gameplay. For instance, themes like Norse Mythology and Demon Rock Band skins were previously introduced this way. However, it typically takes over a year for these skins to transition from survey to gameplay, with the earliest likely release for this batch being summer 2026.

In the meantime, players can look forward to recent additions in Overwatch 2, including a major update that launched on August 26, introducing a new support hero named Wuyang and an improved Perks system alongside various in-game events.
