Street Fighter 6 Unveils Collaboration with Monster Hunter

Capcom announces a new collaboration event for Street Fighter 6 that celebrates Monster Hunter Wilds, introducing exciting content and features.

Capcom has revealed an exciting new collaboration between Street Fighter 6 and Monster Hunter Wilds set to commence on September 1. This month-long event is packed with unique content for fans of both franchises.

Previously, in May, Street Fighter fans could play as Akuma in Monster Hunter Wilds during a collaboration that allowed for fascinating gameplay dynamics as players fought beasts using Akuma’s combat style. The recent partnership includes returning characters Chun-Li and Cammy, available as paid DLC during an earlier event.

Collaboration Event Highlights

  • Five new EX colors inspired by popular monsters from Monster Hunter Wilds.
  • A Battle Hub voting event from September 1-15 where participants can earn weapon accessories, titles, and emotes.
  • Free additions including challenger screen effects, sound effects, stickers, and wallpapers.
  • Themed Battle Hub environments celebrating the event.
  • A fighting pass infused with the essence of Monster Hunter.
  • New avatar gear available for customization.

During the collaboration, all players logging in will receive a variety of rewards, including stickers and wallpapers. The Battle Hub will transform with a Monster Hunter theme, featuring photo spots with iconic characters like Rathalos and Rathian. Voting events will enable players to stake their claim on exclusive rewards based on monster comparisons, including the illustrious Hope Blade and visually appealing emotes such as Hunter’s Applause.

Despite previous complaints regarding the pricing of DLC skins, players seem more willing to invest in these exclusive items, especially since the current collaboration boasts fighter-specific colors distinct from past events. The collaboration follows closely behind the Street Fighter 6 pairing with K-Pop group Aespa, suggesting a trend of engaging partnerships that spotlight various characters beyond just one or two.
