Terraria's 1.4.5 Update Approaches Completion: 'We Are in the Final Stages'

After nearly three years of development, the highly-anticipated 1.4.5 update for Terraria is nearing its final stages.

Terraria has been in development for nearly five years since its last major update. Developer Re-Logic has confirmed they are in the closing stages for the upcoming 1.4.5 update, which may be the last for the title.

“This is truly the final push. We are well into the final push for Terraria 1.4.5,” stated Re-Logic in their monthly State of the Game update. The developers emphasized that they are working more collaboratively than ever before to bring this update to completion.

While no specific date has been provided, the team assures that all internal partners are on board to facilitate a global launch across all supported platforms. “We are considering this somewhat of a ‘dry run’ for the post-crossplay world,” they explained.

Terraria 1.4.5 is expected to include numerous crossover items and features, as well as new slime types and gameplay mechanics that expand on existing frameworks. Though this may mark the end of major updates, nostalgia for the beloved game remains strong as fans await its full release.
