Dune: Awakening's New Features Drive Players Back
The upcoming update for Dune: Awakening introduces an auto-run feature along with other exciting enhancements.
In the latest update for Dune: Awakening, players are finally getting the auto-run feature many of them have been longing for. This simple yet crucial addition means characters can now automatically move forward, eliminating the hassle of constant key pressing during long journeys. The auto-run functionality is accompanied by several other quality-of-life improvements aimed at enhancing gameplay.
This upgrade also introduces new rewards tied to the Advanced Trainer Contracts, including an exclusive armor set linked to each trainer. Existing players can receive these rewards retroactively, adding an incentive to revisit the game.
Furthermore, new quests aligned with the overarching journey storyline will be introduced, giving players more reasons to explore Arrakis and find the Fremen.
Here are some highlights of the update:
- Increased storage capacity for Assault Ornithopters to 20 slots.
- Addition of a Duraluminum-tier weapon, the Adept Missile Launcher.
- Improved organization options in the Placeables and Vehicles menu.
These enhancements show Funcom’s commitment to player feedback, and if previous update cycles are any indication, players can expect to auto-run their way back into the game within a couple of weeks.
