Price for Hollow Knight: Silksong Disclosed Ahead of Release
A retailer listing prematurely reveals the price of Hollow Knight: Silksong, creating buzz among fans.
Hollow Knight: Silksong will be priced at $19.99, based on a leaked retailer listing that seems to have revealed the information ahead of schedule. This price point is anticipated to apply to all editions of Hollow Knight: Silksong.
After five years of development, Hollow Knight: Silksong received its release date during Gamescom 2025, with Team Cherry targeting a launch on September 4, 2025. However, the developer has yet to confirm the game’s price officially.
Retail Listing Reveals Price
This silence was interrupted by a GameStop listing that appears to disclose the expected price of $19.99 for the Nintendo Switch version of the game. Pre-orders are now being accepted by the American retailer.

Despite previous confirmation for the Switch 2, the GameStop listing is for the Switch 1 version, which is compatible with both systems. Currently, no other editions are listed on GameStop’s site, implying that this particular listing may have launched prematurely. The $19.99 price seems plausible, putting it just $5 above its predecessor.
Team Cherry previously confirmed that Hollow Knight: Silksong will feature over 200 new enemies, more than 40 bosses, and around 100 benches, indicating that its map could be significantly larger than the original due to a similar checkpoint density.
Kickstarter Backers Get No-Cost Access
the 2,158 people who funded the original Hollow Knight Kickstarter in 2014 will receive Silksong at no extra charge, maintaining the promise made years ago when Silksong began as a DLC stretch goal. The developer stated this commitment is a reason why Hollow Knight: Silksong will not have any reviews at launch, as they wish to allow original backers to play it first.
