Konami strives to assure its dedication to the legacy of the Metal Gear series, exuding a passion for the past even as creator Hideo Kojima steps further away from the franchise. The developers behind the remake, Noriaki Okamura and Yuji Korekado, expressed their desire for Kojima to experience their version of MGS 3. They mention, “We are not sure what he would want to do, but we want to deliver this game whilst being very respectful of all the people that we previously worked with. We would love for [Kojima] to see it too.”

However, Kojima has indicated that he does not plan to play the remake. In previous discussions about the project, he stated, “No, I won’t.” Although the developers might find it disheartening, they continue to focus on their work while honoring the game’s historical significance.
