Destiny 2 Unveils Patch Notes for the August 26 Update
Bungie has rolled out a new update for Destiny 2, focusing on bug fixes and significant improvements to gameplay mechanics.
Bungie has released a new update for Destiny 2, addressing various bugs and enhancing gameplay mechanics. A significant focus of this update was on the Portal, where players have communicated their thoughts regarding upcoming modifications.
In a recent blog post, Bungie outlined the sandbox updates and gameplay changes for the major Ash & Iron update. This will introduce not only fresh content but also significant adjustments, especially concerning the Solo Ops activity in the Portal, which will see a reduction in reward efficiency.
Moreover, the update improves the Fireteam Ops with extended time limits for completing paths on different difficulty levels: 25% for Expert, 50% for Master, and 75% for Grandmaster.
However, adjustments also targeted the Trials of Osiris mode. Players will now find that rewards at the Lighthouse will be treated as account-bound after completing the required tasks. If a different character attempts to claim rewards first, access will be reset until the next passage is finished.
Main Update Highlights
-
Increased Matchmade Fireteam Ops time limits:
- Expert +25%
- Master +50%
- Grandmaster +75%
-
Trials of Osiris rewards are now account-scoped, avoiding previous issues where players created complications when attempting to claim rewards.
-
Hunter Exotic: The issue with Liar’s Handshake has been corrected, ensuring stronger gameplay balance when utilizing its associated perks.
