This Fan-Made Fallout 1 Remake in Doom is Incredible, Bethesda Take Note

A stunning mod recreating Fallout 1 in Doom showcases exceptional graphics, raising hopes for official remasters.

In a world increasingly dominated by remakes and remasters, the fan-made project “Fallout: Bakersfield” brings a fresh perspective by recreating the classic Fallout 1 in Doom. This mod, a total conversion, has recently gained attention after resurfacing three years after going dark, with gameplay footage showcasing impressive graphics and dynamism.

The creator, Alexander “Red888guns” Berezin, has poured a significant amount of artistry and passion into this project, resulting in visuals that evoke the gritty style of the original Fallout games. The ghouls of Necropolis, for instance, melt into puddles when attacked by the protagonist, a striking representation that channels the essence of the original game.

Though there’s currently no release date for this mod, fans are left hopeful that such innovation might inspire Bethesda to revisit their iconic titles, especially considering the success of remasters like Oblivion Remastered.

Will Bethesda reignite their interest in the legacy of Fallout? Only time will tell. But for now, the passion and creativity shown in projects like these remind us of the deep connection fans have with classic games.
