Overwatch 2 Takes a Daring Leap with New Swimsuit Skins and a Beach-Ready Healer

Blizzard introduces swimsuit skins for Overwatch 2, bringing a summer vibe to season 18 with new hero Wuyang among others.

Blizzard isn’t going to let others take all the excitement. With the launch of Overwatch 2’s season 18 on August 26, players can look forward to a new support hero and swimsuit skins featuring fan favorites like Lifeweaver and Reinhardt. Even Illari looks ready for the beach in her new outfit.

For the longest while, Blizzard has stuck to more reserved designs. With the incoming summer skins, it appears they’re finally giving in to the community’s passionate requests for something more appealing.

Announcement Highlights

  • New hero Wuyang joins other characters for the swimsuit skin lineup.
  • A wealth of changes are also arriving that players have long awaited, including:
    • A mythic skin for Sojourn.
    • The addition of an unranked mode for Stadium.
    • New gameplay modes, including a payload race.
  • The premium battle pass will not contain all skins, leaving some available for purchase in a shop later.

Mark your calendars, as Overwatch season 18 will commence on August 26, promising a summer packed with fun!
