Major Update for Dying Light 2: Stay Human
The new update, referred to as the Stamina Patch, implements significant gameplay modifications along with several optimizations. Stamina plays a vital role in Dying Light 2, affecting how players traverse the environment and engage in combat.
Over the years, Techland has consistently improved Dying Light 2: Stay Human through considerable post-launch updates. For instance, in June, they introduced a user-generated content event and added a crossover with Balatro in response to fan demands. Most recently, community feedback led to a rework of the stamina system.
The recent release, Patch 1.24, champions a revised core gameplay experience, focusing on enhancing evasion. Notably, the stamina required for most parkour actions, except for Dash and Dart, has been eliminated, boosting fluidity during gameplay. However, stamina will still be necessary for aspects such as combat and swimming.
In addition to these adjustments, the patch addresses various bugs and optimizations, particularly in the Tower Raid mode where graphical issues and equipment misidentifications were fixed. The flashlight and its functionality during dialogues and cutscenes also received significant updates.
With Patch 1.24, players can now utilize Aiden’s parkour skills more liberally without conserving stamina, enhancing exploration and evasion capabilities across Villedor, thanks to the extended stamina allowance.
Update Highlights:
- Unlimited Parkour: The stamina system is enhanced, allowing for fluid disengagement from melee combat.
- Co-Op Fixes: Several bugs were fixed, including misleading messages upon being kicked from sessions.
- Gameplay Changes: Revisions include flashlight improvements during critical scenes and a better narrative flow.
- Technical Fixes: Multiple crashes and visual glitches were addressed to enhance player experience.
