Joy and Sadness are being introduced in Disney Dreamlight Valley as part of the new Emotional Rescue update, launching on August 20. This update will feature a realm inspired by the film Inside Out, allowing players to invite both characters into their valley.

Once this new area is unlocked through a special door marked with Riley’s silhouette, players will be able to embark on friendship quests with Joy. Players may need around 15,000 Dreamlight to access this new realm, mirroring other costs associated with previously-added realms like Agrabah.

In addition to the new characters, a retro-themed Star Path will also be available, offering unique items, including a drive-in movie theater and various furniture pieces. The Memory Mania event will return from September 3 to September 16, allowing players to earn companion pets themed around the new characters.
