Peak Developers Clarify Bing Bong's Role After Recent Community Confusion

The developers of Peak confirm Bing Bong's sentience was a unique way to engage with players but have since removed the feature.

The adorable Bing Bong plushie, which became a beloved icon in the game Peak, will no longer be a source of player communication nor a playful way for developers to engage with the community. Initially, players who streamed their gameplay noticed the plush mysteriously speaking back to them, causing a stir among the gaming community.

Developers from Aggro Crab have clarified that they had authored Bing Bong’s responses by joining players’ games in a humorous attempt to foster community interactions. This feature was recently dismantled, and developers are now urging players who claim that they can still engage with them through Bing Bong to stop spreading misinformation.

“Anyone claiming that the devs are joining them through Bing Bong or any other way, they are full of sht,”* a spokesperson stated in a reel shared with the public.

Despite being a momentary lively companion, Bing Bong’s era as a talking plushie is over, leading players to re-evaluate their strategies as they continue their adventures in Peak.
