PlayStation has refreshed the official Ghost of Yotei website, delivering fans the latest insights into characters, weapons, and gameplay features. Throughout the summer, updates about Ghost of Yotei have kept players guessing about what’s next.
Recently, developer Sucker Punch Productions showcased an array of features, such as the exciting Watanabe Mode that allows players to enjoy lo-fi hip hop tracks in Ghost of Yotei. They even offered a sneak peek of two tracks available on streaming services. One of the tracks, “The Yotei Six,” possibly hinted at PlayStation’s recent updates.
New Characters, Weapons, and Features Declared
PlayStation’s updated Ghost of Yotei website_ reveals new characters, weapons, and PS5 features that fans can anticipate at launch. Character art and names for The Yotei Six offer players an introduction to Atsu’s enemies. A variety of five melee weapons and three ranged options will provide combat versatility in the game. Each weapon has unique functions, requiring players to maintain a diverse arsenal for effective gameplay. Atsu can enhance her weapon abilities and develop core proficiencies like disarming foes and utilizing her wolf companion in combat.

Special edition controllers and console covers for PS5 Slim and PS5 Pro will also be available, although the original PS5 will not feature Ghost of Yotei plates, which disappointed some fans.
Sucker Punch aims to create an engaging open world experience in Ghost of Yotei. While some players found Ghost of Tsushima’s open world limited and monotonous, creative director Nate Fox aspires to deliver a reinvented experience. New features like a clue card system will assist players in navigating branching storylines, along with mini-games and customizable play styles honoring Japanese cinema.
