A Surprising Twist in Interactive Horror: My Experience with Dead Reset

The latest demo of Dead Reset has redefined my expectations for FMV horror games. Here's why I found it unexpectedly entertaining.

The demo for Dead Reset took me by surprise with its sheer entertainment value.

The first encounter with the festering creature I found inside an unconscious woman’s body was truly unsettling. But by the fourth encounter, I was no longer frightened; instead, I laughed out loud. This peculiar game blends elements akin to Alien and Evil Dead, thriving in a loop of absurdity and horror. Each playthrough left me helplessly dying—but simultaneously entertained.

Gameplay Highlights

In Dead Reset, players step into the shoes of Cole, a former surgeon in a grim facility filled with menacing figures. The darkly humorous premise allows for various choices, but you’ll inevitably face grisly deaths that only change slightly based on your decisions. The fast pace promises no dull moments, with immediate choices leading to chaotic outcomes.

Overall, it succeeds in delivering a comedic yet horror-filled experience with moments that evoke laughter amidst the terror. The demo wraps up with a cliffhanger that piqued my curiosity about the full game, set to launch on Steam on September 11.
