Crimson Desert Faces Another Delay, Now Set for Early 2026 Release

The anticipated action game Crimson Desert will not meet its expected 2025 release and has been postponed to early 2026.

Crimson Desert continues to be a long-awaited title, now facing yet another delay which pushes its release date from 2025 back to early 2026.

As reported by Gematsu, Pearl Abyss’ game, considered a single-player spinoff of the Black Desert Online franchise, has seen its launch window shift yet again. Originally slated for late 2021, it was postponed for the first time to a vague date in 2025, and now it will not arrive until the first quarter of 2026.

In an earnings call, Pearl Abyss shared that the game is currently undergoing voiceovers and preparing for console certification, further stating, “Crimson Desert has been unavoidably delayed by one quarter from the previously announced schedule.” They acknowledged longer-than-anticipated timelines due to collaboration with various partners for tasks such as offline distribution and console preparations. The studio expressed their commitment to ensuring a meaningful and successful launch with due diligence.

The game’s absence from major announcement events like Gamescom is noted, leaving fans to wonder if any further updates on a specific date will be communicated soon.
