Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 already channels the spirit of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion like a medieval savant. From its rolling green landscapes, through its peculiar NPC behaviours, to the fact you can steal from shops, Warhorse’s sequel often feels like wandering through Cyrodiil.
Now, you can enhance the nostalgic elements of KCD2 with the Ultra Low Graphics Mode mod made by Jindra1403. This mod reduces graphics to a resolution of 1280x720 and wipes texture details, producing a unique visual style that recalls the past when game graphics were a constant marvel.
Jindra notes, “the preset doesn’t utilize FSR or DLSS, since those technologies typically do not help much at such low fidelity.”
As Jindra explains, the mod aims to “maximize the game’s performance at the expense of fidelity”. The results create a strangely charming aesthetic that reminds players of the older gaming era. You can download the mod here.
For those who wish for a closer resemblance to Oblivion, ideas like moon-faced NPCs and detailed landscapes are revealed as desires, emphasizing the continuous nostalgia fans feel towards classic RPGs.
