New Update for Super Mario Party Jamboree Arrives This August

Nintendo Cube has just released a patch for Super Mario Party Jamboree, fixing key issues for Nintendo Switch 2 users.

Nintendo Cube has recently announced the release of a new patch for Super Mario Party Jamboree, addressing a significant issue for players on the Nintendo Switch 2. This patch is relatively minor, yet users who enjoy Super Mario Jamboree on Switch 2 will likely appreciate the update.

Released initially in 2024 for the original Nintendo Switch, Super Mario Party Jamboree quickly became a favorite among fans, introducing fresh maps and gameplay modes. By February 2025, it was reported that the game had sold over 6.17 million copies, making it the fastest-selling entry in the Mario Party franchise and the fifth best-selling title in the series overall.

The latest update, version 2.1.1, aims to rectify a bug in the Switch 2’s online rankings for specific mini-games. Previously, it allowed records to be uploaded even if they weren’t legitimately attained by the player. Such a fix is crucial for those concerned with online standings, as it ensures the integrity of the rankings.

This patch follows the more substantial update (version 2.1.0) issued in July 2025, which laid the groundwork for optimal performance on Switch 2 and fixed lingering issues that created frustration among players.

Patch Notes for Version 2.1.1

  • Corrected a bug regarding unauthorized uploads of online rankings for mini-games when using Nintendo Switch 2.
