McDonald’s and Pokémon are collaborating once again, introducing a fresh set of Happy Meal toys soon to be available in Japan. These collaborative efforts by McDonald’s and Pokémon, like previous ones, often debut in one region before being rolled out globally, hinting at exciting prospects for fans worldwide.
Pokémon Happy Meal Toys Collection
This new batch includes Pokémon toys set to launch on August 8, with two sequential releases. The initial assortment features beloved characters such as Pikachu, Mega Lucario, Charmander, and Squirtle. From August 8 to 14, customers can collect these toys, followed by a second wave from August 15 to 21 that includes Bulbasaur, Eevee, Mega Charizard, a different Pikachu toy, and a unique secret toy.
The various toys boast diverse play styles. For instance, Squirtle balances on a Poke Ball and sways with movement, while Pikachu’s tail wiggles in response. Charmander functions as a spinning toy, whereas Mega Lucario serves as a target shooter with a Poke Ball for aiming. The second series features a similar mechanism for Bulbasaur, while Mega Charizard spins like Charmander. Eevee becomes a wiggly keychain complete with a Poke Ball carabiner, and when the Pikachu design rolls across flat surfaces, it wobbles back and forth.
Moreover, these new Pokémon toys coincide with a range of Pokémon TCG McDonald’s cards launching on August 8. These cards, showcasing Pikachu reaching for a burger alongside other characters, will only be available from August 8 to 11 or while supplies last, making it essential for fans to visit during the first wave of toy launches to take advantage of both promotions.
