Diablo Set to Enter the Tabletop RPG Realm

The classic video game franchise Diablo is transitioning into a tabletop role-playing game, complete with a unique dice system and adventure modules.

It’s becoming increasingly common for video games to transition into tabletop role-playing games. Following the footsteps of franchises like Fallout and Dark Souls, the iconic Diablo series will soon join the ranks.

Although there was a D&D setting based on Diablo 2, the new tabletop RPG aims to create a more tailored experience. It will feature its very own “custom d6 dice pool system” under the direction of Joe LeFavi, known for his work on BladeRunner: The Roleplaying Game.

The upcoming game aims to empower players from the start, ensuring that characters such as barbarians, druids, and sorcerers feel powerful right from the first session, avoiding the typical zero-to-hero trope.

Set in the aftermath of Diablo 4, this RPG will boast over 300 pages of gaming rules and extensive lore, accompanied by an anthology series featuring one-shot adventures designed to facilitate quick gaming sessions around the table.

The release of Diablo: The Roleplaying Game is slated for 2026, with a Kickstarter campaign expected to launch this fall.
