Capcom Fighting Collection 2 Update Introduces New Characters and Features

Capcom announces a free title update for Capcom Fighting Collection 2, enhancing gameplay with new characters and improvements.

During Evo 2025, Capcom revealed a new update for Capcom Fighting Collection 2, introducing various enhancements, new quality of life features, and four additional characters. This announcement aligns with Capcom’s history of improving their collections with post-launch updates.

The title update, launching on August 7, will add playable characters: Maki, Eagle, Yun, and Ingrid to Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper. Players can access them using the Additional Characters EX Setting. Alongside these new characters, the update will feature additional artwork for the game’s gallery and remixed classic songs.

Moreover, new game modes are being introduced that alter fighting rules, including a mode called Plasma Sword, which offers players the option to display Combo Routes in Training Mode, adjustable from the game settings.

This update presents a prime opportunity for fans to engage with Ingrid, who has been underutilized in previous games. Her addition to the roster has sparked excitement and curiosity among fans, especially as she will also appear in the upcoming Street Fighter 6.
