Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket’s latest expansion introduces two formidable new cards: Lugia EX and Ho-Oh EX. Both of these cards may significantly alter the game’s current meta. The mobile version of the game has already been flavored by powerful Pokemon such as Celebi EX and Sylveon EX, establishing various strategies within the competitive scene. Now, the upcoming set promises to bring even more potent combinations.

The new set, titled “Wisdom of Sea and Sky,” focuses on the Johto region and incorporates cards featuring classic Pokemon like Umbreon and Espeon alongside trainer cards like the Supporter Trainer card showcasing Lyra. These additions may invigorate gameplay strategies and disrupt the existing balance.

    • Retreat Cost: 2
    • Attack: Elemental Blast (Fire, Water, Lightning) causing 180 damage while requiring the player to discard one Energy of each type.
  • Ho-Oh EX

    • Weakness: Electric
    • Retreat Cost: 2
    • Attack: Phoenix Turbo (Colorless) delivering 90 damage and enabling the attachment of a Fire, Water, and Lightning Energy from your Energy Zone to your benched Pokemon.

With their combined abilities, these legendary Pokemon can offer unique resource dynamics, potentially changing gameplay tactics for many players in Pokemon TCG Pocket. The expansion is set for release on July 30.
