SurrounDead, an open-world zombie survival game, recently gained traction and now boasts a significant update filled with intriguing additions, gameplay modifications, and bug fixes. Originally launched in early access on Steam in 2022, SurrounDead by Zurvivor started increasing its player base only in recent months.

Notable Achievements
Since April, player engagement has surged, reaching a peak of over 5,400 concurrent players on Steam in July, a remarkable increase from previous months when peak numbers were below 1,100.

The developers have now released a new update that includes various new content intended to maintain and boost the current player base further.

Update Features:

• The launch of Patch 0.7.1f titled “Preparation” includes numerous ghillie items: masks, hoods, tops, gloves, pants, boots, and body armor.
• New difficulty settings have been introduced alongside features that allow separate keybinding for vehicle controls.
• An improved clarity system now displays available storage spots for buildable storage and tent items.
• Vehicles have new camera transitions when entering/exiting them.

Gameplay Changes:

• Players can now craft Molotov cocktails and makeshift splints without needing a workbench.
• The zombie population in abandoned camps has effectively doubled.
• Shotguns have been overhauled to improve reloading speed and increase their pellet count.

Bug Fixes and Future Updates:

• Several issues have been addressed, including gameplay exploits making it possible to put too many rounds in a magazine, and disappearing shadows during different hours of play.
• The developers confirmed that more updates are expected in the coming weeks, aiming to continuously improve the game further.
