Stormgate Announces Early Access Exit Amid Development Updates

Frost Giant Studios prepares to launch its RTS 'Stormgate' out of early access, addressing player concerns over unfinished features.

Frost Giant Studios, the team behind the much-anticipated real-time strategy game Stormgate, announced plans to transition the title out of early access by August. The game, which features notable elements inspired by the Warcraft series, will introduce its first major single-player campaign, titled ‘Ashes of Earth’.

While some features, including the cooperative mode and terrain editor, are still under development, the studio assures that the core content is ready for players. Frost Giant recently clarified this point amidst community confusion over an early access version labeled ‘0.6’, which some players interpreted as the game being incomplete.

Frost Giant emphasizes its commitment to the game’s foundational pillars: campaign, co-op, competitive, and custom modes. The company plans to utilize a new naming system for updates to better reflect their development stages.

Frost Giant remains optimistic that the upcoming campaigns and multiplayer modes will engage a wider audience as it prepares for its full release.
