New Developments on the Way
Ubisoft has announced that a New Game Plus update is set to be released on July 29. This update will allow players to dive back into Assassin’s Creed Shadows after finishing all the content, catering to those still eager for more. The official summer roadmap outlines a series of features making their way to the feudal Japan setting of the game. Besides the New Game Plus mode, expect new level caps increasing from 60 to 80, fresh upgrades for hideouts, and—most anticipated—a feature to alter the in-game time of day.

The upcoming September updates will also include enhancements such as uncapped cutscene framerates, enabling smoother gameplay experiences. On September 16, the first expansion titled “Claws of Awaji” will be launched, featuring new story elements, gear, characters, and additional regions for exploration.
While players may be curious why it took so long for features like fast-forwarding the time of day to be introduced, these updates have the potential to significantly impact gameplay strategy. This lean toward quality of life improvements shows Ubisoft’s commitment to fan feedback and gameplay evolution.
