Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Faces Major PC Issues and Apology from Developers

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, once one of the most awaited Soulslike games for 2025, is now under fire due to substantial glitches affecting its PC gameplay. Following its launch on July 23, the developers at Leenzee have acknowledged the difficulties players are facing, leading to an official apology.

Performance Issues Unveiled

Upon its release, the game garnered over 100,000 concurrent players on Steam, suggesting a promising start. However, players soon reported severe performance issues, rendering the game unplayable. Additionally, various bugs, including problems related to claiming pre-order bonuses, have caused frustration within the community.

In response to the backlash, Leenzee and publisher 505 Games have released a joint statement, promising fixes and compensation for those affected. Compensation includes:

  • A free copy of the game’s original soundtrack for all PC players
  • A complimentary costume for deluxe edition purchasers, to be delivered at a later date

Despite the forthcoming improvements, the game has faced numerous negative reviews on Steam, with nearly 70% of recent reviewers rating it poorly. The enduring support from the developers is anticipated to mend the relationship with fans as they navigate this tumultuous period.

While hotfixes are on the horizon, the trajectory of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers remains uncertain, highlighting the challenges many developers face when launching highly anticipated titles.
