Battlefield 6 Trailer Surpasses Black Ops 7's Likes in Just One Hour

The new reveal trailer for Battlefield 6 has quickly outpaced the likes of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 within just an hour after its release.

The freshly launched cinematic trailer for Battlefield 6 has already exceeded the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 reveal trailer in likes on YouTube, accomplishing the feat within just an hour. This surge of attention follows EA’s confirmation of the game’s official title, which was previously hinted at before the explosive trailer was released. Set in modern times, this iteration of Battlefield has been in testing for several months, with rumors suggesting the inclusion of a separate free-to-play battle royale mode.

The reveal for Black Ops 7 occurred during Xbox’s showcase last month, marking the second consecutive year of simultaneous releases within the Call of Duty universe, following last year’s Modern Warfare 2 and MW3. This futuristic chapter aims to serve as both a sequel to Black Ops 6 and a continuation of the established narrative from 2012’s Black Ops 2. Notably, the trailer also signaled the return of David Mason, who was last seen in BO2.

The numbers tell an impressive story: as it stands, the Call of Duty trailer racked up a remarkable 40 million views, yet only garnered about 140,000 likes. Conversely, the Battlefield 6 trailer, which had less than 18,000 views at one point, quickly amassed 194,000 likes. Some of this discrepancy can be attributed to the trailer’s Premiere feature, which allowed viewers to like the video even before its official release. One Reddit user analyzed the rapid growth in likes, indicating that the Battlefield trailer has now streamlined towards nearly 2.5 million views with up to 268,000 likes, a significant increase in a short span.

Battlefield 6’s Trailer Surpasses Black Ops 7’s Likes

It’s noteworthy to mention that Black Ops 7 has been available for a month and a half, compared to the newly released Battlefield 6 trailer. Given that the latter is filled with dynamic action in stark contrast to the slower-paced reveal of Black Ops 7, it’s understandable that Battlefield 6 has pulled ahead in terms of viewer engagement.

With Battlefield 6 slated for a 2025 release and the anticipation growing for its multiplayer reveal, FPS enthusiasts are already sparring over which game will dominate. Meanwhile, a COD Next event is rumored for September, where more insights on Black Ops 7 will be shared.
