Fans of Wuthering Waves have recently voiced their concerns regarding game mechanics and the trajectories of future characters. Following the release of the Version 2.5 update titled “Unfading Melody of Life”, many players expressed their worries about how some characters are now perceived as overly reliant on specific setups to perform optimally.

Version 2.5, which launched on July 24, introduced various features, including new chapters, locations, and characters, alongside usability improvements such as customizable Auto-Lock setups in the Data Bank. Additionally, developers Kuro Games implemented special limited-time events in conjunction with the update.

However, despite these updates being generally received as positive, concerns linger regarding the game’s direction and character design. The Reddit user Devo-S-Kare highlighted issues regarding character capabilities being tied too closely to certain partnerships and signature weapons, generating apprehensions within the community. Players worry that this could limit overall gameplay strategies and diversity in character team setups.
