The anticipated pixel-art run-and-gun game Terminator 2D: No Fate has been rescheduled to launch on October 31. Developed by Bitmap Bureau, the game draws inspiration from the iconic second film in the Terminator franchise, featuring beloved characters like Sarah and John Connor.
Originally set for release on September 5, the delay came about due to the required time for preparing the physical copies of the game, prompting the publisher to delay the digital version as well for a simultaneous release. While the game appears well-polished, Bitmap Bureau intends to utilize this additional time to refine mechanics and visuals to perfect the final product.
Recently announced on Twitter, the game’s delay focuses on ensuring the physical copies are ready, not due to any production setbacks.
With October packed with various game releases, including Ghost of Yotei and The Outer Worlds 2, the delay of Terminator 2D: No Fate may not considerably affect its sales as it targets a niche audience. Additionally, fans of the franchise have another upcoming title to anticipate with Terminator: Survivors on the horizon, expected to release in 2025.
