Fans Speculate on Lida's Connection to a Character from Generation 6

Recent revelations from the Pokemon Presents event have sparked discussions among fans regarding potential links between new and familiar characters in the upcoming game.

The latest Pokemon Presents event unveiled several insights regarding Pokemon Legends: Z-A, introducing characters that may have links to familiar figures from Generation 6. Set in Lumiose City, which is speculated to take place over a decade after Pokemon X and Y, the game will feature beloved characters like Emma and AZ.

Recent trailers had already hinted at new characters playing pivotal roles in the storyline, while fans eagerly anticipate the return of additional Generation 6 favorites. The most recent livestream presented a new trailer offering more details, including the introduction of Mega Dragonite.

Although Legends: Z-A is set in the contemporary Kalos region, the game appears to echo elements of its predecessor, particularly by connecting newly introduced figures with past characters. Recently, the trailer showcased characters Lida and Naveen, whom players will engage with throughout their adventures in the upgraded Lumiose City. Fans speculate that Lida may be related to Tierno from Pokemon X and Y, as the characters exhibit similar traits and share a love for dancing.

Moreover, it has been suggested that Naveen bears resemblance to Grant, the gym leader from Cyllage City in the earlier titles, largely due to their similar hairstyles. The trailer also confirms that Mable, a Team Flare scientist from the Generation 6 games, will reprise her role as the head of the Lumiose City Pokemon Lab, taking over from the fan-favorite Professor Sycamore.
