New Voice Actors for Mario Kart World’s Peach and Toad Announced

Paul Castro Jr. and Courtney Lin will voice the iconic characters in Mario Kart World following the departure of Samantha Kelly.

The new voice actors for Mario Kart World’s Peach and Toad have been announced, with Paul Castro Jr. set to voice Toad and Courtney Lin taking on the role of Peach. Both actors took to social media to express their gratitude towards Nintendo for this opportunity. This follows the recent news regarding the departure of longtime voice actress Samantha Kelly, who voiced these characters for nearly 18 years.

In Mario Kart World, Nintendo has reimagined the iconic racing series as an open-world adventure, introducing new gameplay modes like Knockout Tour and Free Roam, while retaining classic modes enhanced by fresh mechanics. Although fans have eagerly anticipated this latest installment, there have been mixed feelings regarding the changes in the voice cast, especially concerning Kelly’s exit from the series. Paul Castro Jr. shared his excitement about voicing Toad: “Thank you Nintendo for trusting me with this role, letting me live out this childhood dream!”

Courtney Lin also voiced her excitement, mentioning how honored she is to carry forward Peach’s legacy, acknowledging the work of the previous voice actresses. Fans are hoping that this new beginning will bring a fresh experience in Mario Kart World as it launches on the new Switch 2 console.
