Developed by RageSquid, Descenders Next is a follow-up to the original 2019 biking game, featuring both snowboarding and mountainboarding, with more plans to expand. Initially planned for release on April 9, the game faced an unspecified delay, with no set date at the time of announcement.

The game can now be played on various platforms, including PC. This shadow drop offers subscribers a $29.99 saving as it retails at that price without any added paid content, following a similar model as its predecessor which was frequently updated but never included any DLC.

When Will Descenders Next Reach Xbox Game Pass Standard?

As a day-one release, Descenders Next is not available on the cheaper Xbox Game Pass Standard tier, which typically receives new titles months after their Ultimate counterparts. The expected timeline for Standard access could range from January to July 2026, based on Microsoft’s announcement that day-one games might take up to a year to transfer.

Moreover, the developers suggest that the game will be in early access for approximately two years, indicating it might leave Xbox Game Pass before that time.
