It’s been five years since the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake was first unveiled, with repeated delays and changes hampering its progress. However, during Ubisoft’s Annual General Meeting, both this remake and the long-awaited Splinter Cell received mentions, raising hopes among fans.

No specific release dates were provided, but Ubisoft’s Chief Financial Officer, Frederick Duguet, suggested that the Sands of Time Remake could launch as early as the 2025 holiday season, contradicting past expectations of a 2026 fiscal year release. There have also been continued teases and social media hiccups leading to speculation about the development status of both games.
