Final Fantasy 14's New Cash Shop Glamour Set Receives Backlash
The introduction of the Crystarium Rebel's Attire in Final Fantasy 14 has led to widespread dissatisfaction among players due to its resemblance to existing in-game outfits and the practice of selling such items for real money.
The Crystarium Rebel’s Attire, a newly introduced glamour set in Final Fantasy 14, has sparked disappointment among fans due to its similarity to existing items that have long been part of the game. While it possesses some unique features, players express their discontent over such sets being offered for real money.
The Final Fantasy 14 online store features a variety of items, including mounts, minions, and glamour sets. Many of these outfits are inspired by significant characters from the game like Y’shtola, G’raha Tia, and the Leveilleur twins, Alphinaud and Alisaie.
However, the Crystarium Rebel’s Attire for $12 feels controversial, as it closely resembles items already present in the game. Players can emulate this outfit using existing gear such as the Astral Silk Doublet of Healing or Casting and the Angelic Thighboots. This was highlighted by the FF14 content creator Meppermint Pocha on BlueSky.
Players Demand Changes to Cash Shop Gear

Nonetheless, while there are minor differences, such as the sleeve design and potion colors, many players feel these modifications are inadequate to justify the price. In the past, similar issues arose with other outfits that had become available for purchase in the cash shop.
Recent items have drawn criticism for their pricing, quality, and market bundling, leaving players hopeful that Final Fantasy 14 will take their feedback into account moving forward.
