Streaming Xbox Games to Your PC

In a significant update, Xbox’s Senior Product Manager Anu Reddy announced that starting today, Xbox Insiders with Game Pass Ultimate can stream certain console games they own through the Xbox app on PC within the 28 countries that support Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta). This includes popular regions such as the US and UK.

Previously limited to just Game Pass titles, this new feature allows users to access their own library of non-Game Pass games as well. To use this feature, simply head to the Cloud Gaming section in the Xbox PC app, select from the catalog of supported titles, and start playing immediately. This is a huge leap forward for gamers, especially those without an Xbox console, as they can now purchase and stream console-only games without needing the hardware.

The introduction of the ‘Stream your own game’ feature effectively challenges the traditional exclusivity arguments made by console vendors. Players are invited to embrace a more open gaming environment where platform barriers are significantly reduced, ushering in a new era of gaming experiences that are more accessible and interconnected.
