Nemiga has recently secured the services of Maksim ‘sowalio’ Beketov, who joins them from RUBY after replacing Ivan ‘zweih’ Gogin, who has moved to Spirit. This signing comes as approximately three weeks after Nemiga soared to the 28th rank on the VRS following an unexpected run to Stage 3 of the Austin Major, but they soon lost their key player, zweih.
Despite this transition, the team seems optimistic as they declare their CS2 roster as ‘ready for the new season,’ suggesting that they have retained the majority of the core players that helped them reach their recent success.
sowalio has proven to be a valuable asset as an anchor-lurker for RUBY, taking on the roles previously held by zweih. However, it remains to be seen if he can handle the pressure more effectively, given his 2025 rating of 1.06 compared to zweih’s 1.12 against tougher competition.
Overcoming this gap in firepower may prove to be challenging for the leadership duo comprised of Aliaksandr ‘1eeR’ Nahorny and coach Anton ‘boX’ Burko.
In June, 1eeR stated that “zweih can perform strongly because we have good structure,” and they remain hopeful that this structure will persist into the next season with sowalio adding to their line-up.
Currently, the Nemiga team features:
- Kirill ‘Xant3r’ Kononov
- Maksim ‘riskyb0b’ Churikov
- Beksultan ‘khaN’ Ospan
- Maksim ‘sowalio’ Beketov
- Coach: Anton ‘boX’ Burko
