Developer Sunblink has rolled out a new update for Hello Kitty Island Adventure on mobile named the City Classics update, which features new stories and activities for players.
Initially an iOS Apple Arcade exclusive, Hello Kitty Island Adventure eventually made its way to PC and Nintendo Switch. This update emphasizes the gameplay that draws inspiration from Animal Crossing, especially after the success of Animal Crossing: New Horizons on the Switch. The game set itself apart by focusing on character narratives and unique activities, including underwater exploration and regular content updates.
New Features
The City Classics update, now available on iOS, enhances version 2.7 and allows players to open a tourist shop in the City Town area. Players can also unlock Kuromi-themed furniture, form a band with Retsuko, and take photos with Tsunoda. Although the update has not yet been released for Switch and PC users, it is expected to arrive soon.
Upcoming Events
Despite the City Classics update not being available on all platforms, players can look forward to the summer-themed Sunshine Celebration event on July 10, which will add tropical clothing and furniture options. The update aims to maintain engagement with players by offering continual content and unique features, establishing Hello Kitty Island Adventure as a viable contender in the cozy life simulation genre.
