Besiege, the physics-based puzzler that lets players construct siege machines, is celebrating its tenth anniversary. To mark this milestone, Spiderling Studios has big plans for the game’s future, including community events and various updates throughout the year.
Anniversary Update Features
The anniversary update focuses on enhancing the experience for players and community members:
- New Achievements: A total of 25 new achievements have been added, many of which relate to the base game and the Splintered Sea expansion. Players can earn these achievements by collecting special items known as “Strange Fragments.”
- Steam Trading Cards: The update introduces collectible trading cards for players.
- Leaderboards: A global leaderboard will now track player stats such as damage taken and efficiency in building machines.
- Reworked Levels: The update revamps the final level of Tolbrynd island, enhancing gameplay and visuals while introducing the rulers of the islands as interactive elements.
- Sandbox Mode: The classic sandbox mode returns, allowing players to create even larger machines with improved graphics and mechanics, including a slow-motion feature for dramatic moments.
- Access to the Alpha Version: Players can explore the original alpha version of the game to see how it has evolved over the past ten years.
